Hi All!

First off, a little about me. My name is Aaryn and I have been crabbing for almost 5 years now (Since Sept 2002). Sprint, my first hermit crab, is still happy as can be running around the tank with her 40 closest crabby buddies.

I am currently in school for xray tech and will graduate next May-2008. Not sure what I want to move into after I graduate. I have a whole list of modalities that interest me: Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional and Cardiac Catheterization. Ill get to shadow thru those at the end of the summer semester and see what I think!

As far as animals, I love them all (minus flying insects and little moths). I have ~40 hermit crabs, two kitties (Muffin and Radar), 3 female betta, 1 danio, a blue crayfish and his chubs/large minnows, and fiddler crabs--my female just released her batch of eggs and the majority are in their second stage of life! Very exciting! I also am now the aunty of a 12 year old iguana that my parents adopted a few months ago! Ferdinand, the iguana, is quite the guy!

As far as the Happy Hermit, it was more of an accident than an intention! It began in January 2006 when I wanted to make some kibble of organic foods high in carotene and zeaxanthin to help my Es molt better. Well I made two different kibble that ended up being too much, WAY too much, and started selling it to get rid of it....which turned into something more than I planned! From there I consolidated the two kibbles and then made four more...now know as "Nar's Specialty Kibbles", which are the original 5.

The old Happy Hermit on Ebay began in April 2006 and was an instant hit. Ive had hundred of customers and all positive feedback! Now that I am selling more foods and a greater variety I decided it was time to move and make THHC into its own store. So this is my first go at an actual internet store and my first go at HTML! It has been and will continue to be a learning experience and quite the adventure in way of the internet!

THe foods old on THHC are all natural and organic, they contain no preservatives. So not only are they healthy for your hermit crabs but they also contain no harsh chemicals that may harm your hermit crabs. A good portion of the ingredients, such as the fruits and vegetables are bought from a local organic food store and cut, dried and blended by me, and sometimes my bf. The other ingredients are bought online from organic and all natural food stores that pride themselves on great quality human grade items.

We also carry a wonderful line of hermit crab foods that contain wild harvested foods, this is the CRABOTANICALS line.
